Homage to Mr. K. (Super Moon Rising)
You’re all probably sick and tired of all those colourful photos, right? Yuck! So lets go back to B&W for a while. One of my greatest inspirations has always been the one and only Michael Kenna. Stark compositions, contrast and yet softness, it was all there. If I were at least 1/100th as good as he is, I’d be someone in the world of photography. But I’m not So the only thing I can to is to pay this little tribute to the man who inspires me to go out as often as possible and spend time with nature and my camera.
I took this photo on a super full-moon day. We drove to the coast with my wife and after a few mediocre attempts to shoot the moon in its glory I set up the camera for the final, longest, 8 minute exposure. That was what I came the for!
